Inventory and Asset Disposition Technician/Specialist
Perform tasks (M-F 7:30 am to 4:30 pm)
Must be a US person.
Contractor who uses Excel VERY WELL and can organize multiple tasks and fill out structured documents with critical thinking and problem solving skills. Utilization of macros in Excel to provide metrics. Prefer 8-10 years of experience in related tasks. Familiarity of aerospace parts or regulations and experience in audits or quality assurance and attention to details. Tasks will include counting parts, system updates and problem solving, part number matching to a master file, cross-referencing to other files to pull critical characteristics that drive various decisions regarding disposal options and planning, scheduling of such destruction with named vendors. Coordination of consolidation of parts and tracking for shipment, including physical prep for shipment. Must be highly functioning Excel user manipulating files to produce groupings of like parts for shipment to and tracking of scrap metal vendor processing.
HIGHLY skilled with ATTENTION TO DETAILS, verify part numbers and tools to lists and spreadsheets, verify property received meets quality standards of documentation, quality is number one.
May require inventorying content of skids and impeccable traceability of actions, approvals, and organization. Move skids with a hand pallet jack.
Coordination with vendors and scrap yard for the physical disposal of property. Will be required to input data into system(s), follow-up and coordination as needed – must be organized, legible handwriting and ability to track exceptions and anomalies.
Ability to lift 40 lbs., physically bend to floor level for attaching documentation to skids, physically grinding markings off metal parts.
